The annual Miss Pretty Plus 2008 Pageant came off on Saturday 23rd August, 2008 at the La Joya Complex in St. Joseph. Organised by Mr. Lyndon Ross, the pageant featured 18 young ladies between the ages of 11 and 16, showcasing themselves before the judges and the audience. La Joya Complex was full as the family and friends of the delegates were present to cheer and support their favorite delegates.

Despite the late start and the impatience of the audience with the late start, the show got going with guest speaker Annisa Lara who lauded the delegates for their participation in the pageant. She remarked that each of the delegates had numerous commendable qualities and they represented the cream of Trinidad's womanhood. These characteristics she said made them role models for other young people in the country.

Guest performer Bernice Nedd impressed the audience as she rendered Alicia Keys' "Falling" followed by "Killing Me Softly". Another guest performer, Garvin Rodgers, also moved the audience with his rendition of John Legend's "Save Room". He would later return to sing NeYo's "Sexy Love" to the delight of the audience, particularly the female members of the audience. His smooth style, dance moves and interactions with the audience evoked loud cheers and screams from the enthusiastic audience.

The delegates reappeared on stage as they modeled casual wear followed by elegant wear. Wearing lovely dresses with names such as Lilac Heaven, Flash of Sunshine, Blue Angel, A Glimpse of Egypt and Go for Gold, the delegates impressed the audience with their poise, as deafening cheers and applause filled the auditorium.

While the judges tabulated their scores to see which of the delegates would progress to the next round, the audience was entertained by Digicel Rising Stars finalist Meda Ellis who showed her tremendous talent and vocal ability with a rendition of Alicia Keys' "No One" and Celine Dion's "Beauty and the Beast". The audience could not get enough of her, as chants of "Meda, Meda, Meda," were heard following her exit from the stage. Singer Danica Daniel would later invite Meda to the stage again where they both added their vocal abilities to Mariah Carey's "Hero" to the delight of the audience.
