A cast of twenty-six calypsonians vied for a place in the semi-final round of the competition. This event took place at the tent&#8217;s seasonal home base, the Ambassador Hotel, Long Circular Road, St. James. The show&#8217;s programme was hosted by Ronald Prince and comedian and radio host, Darryl Mendoza. Music was provided by the tent&#8217;s resident Vincent Rivers band and the Honey Voices back-up singers.
