Lewicito 'Cito' Velasquez, ace Wire Bender/Masman, passed away on 8th April 2006, at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

Mr. Velasquez was born on 51 Frederick Street, Port of Spain in 1928. Some of his growing years were spent on St. Vincent Street, Port of Spain.

One of his most outstanding presentations was "Fruits and Flowers", which he produced in 1959 with Carnival King of the Bands 2006, Geraldo Vieira Sr.

Mr. Velasquez spent many years building and designing his Mas from his Barataria home, a place where many of his friends and family would always remember.

Today 'Cito' was laid to rest at the Tunapuna Public Cemetry following a funeral service at St. Theresa's RC Church. The services were well attended.
