6:00 PM - The formal part of the celebration has finished; the motorcade is slowly proceeding along to Port of Spain. The Soca Worriors are in an open truck signing autographs, and receiving the adulation of the people who lined the roadways. The traffic is intense as people are moving along on foot with vehicles following behind. All along the motorcade route various entertainment activities are taking place.

4:48 PM - The formal part of the celebrations began in the car park of the Piarco International Airport. The players and other dignitaries were seated on the stage as various speakers, including the Sports Minister Roger Boynes and Austin Jack Warner, paid respect to the players, the public, and the government. The Prime Minister Patrick Manning is now about to address the gathering.

4:21 PM - We are waiting on the formal part of this celebration to begin. Meanwhile, there is music and dancing at the Airport as the Soca Warriors just soak up the tidal wave of support and joy they are receiving. Not even the rain could dampen this parade. The Prime Minister Patrick Manning and his wife Hazel Manning are mingling with the players as they wave and throw mementos to the crowd.

3:39 PM - The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Patrick Manning is briefly addressing the Soca Warriors. He has informed them of the significance of the moment along with the pride they have brought to the nation. He told them of the sea of red and jubilation that overtook the nation following the news of their momentous victory.

The Soca Warriors have left the VIP lounge and are now waving to the crowd.

3:30 PM - Rain is falling at the Piarco International Airport but it is not dampening the spirits of the thousands of people who are gathered there to welcome home the Soca Warriors. The Soca Warriors already 'Bah the Rain'.

3:25 PM - The Soca Warriors are being greeted by the media and fans as they try to make their way through the crowd. Dennis Lawrence is now explaining how delighted he is, having scored the lone goal that saw Trinidad and Tobago through to the World Cup finals. The players are signing autographs and are being swamped by fans.

It is a sea of red at the Airport as thousands came out dressed for the occasion, including huge Flags. Various entertainers are performing, honoring the Soca Warriors and their multitude of fans.

3:15 PM - The Soca Warriors have arrived at the Piarco International Airport. Not all the players were able to be here, as some had to return to their respective foreign club engagements. The team will disembark from the aircraft, then make their way to the VIP lounge at the airport.

3:00PM - Thousands are at the Piarco International Airport, dressed in red, to welcome home the Soca Warriors following their victory over Bahrain.

Following an official welcome for the Soca Warriors, the Soca Warriors Motorcade will depart from the Airport accompanied by a Music Truck and drummers. The team will be making their way to various parts of Trinidad along the eastern Main Road where steelbands and other forms of entertainment are assembled in their honor. People are lining the streets in anticipation. The motorcade will eventually make it's way to the Brian Lara Promenade where there is already a large crowd awaiting the arrival of the Soca Warriors in Port of Spain.
