Wow

I registered my daughter's birth there in 1997. at first Mrs. Nurse wasn't very nice to us, cause we looked so young to have a child is what she said. Then when she saw that I was 21, her tone of voice changed. So funny. lol.

This house belonged to the Nurse's, it is on the corner of Victoria and Abercromby St.It is where Births and Deaths were registered. Yes, Mrs Nurse also sold stamps but was really known for her small pre-school that she ran for years.

Yes this house belonged to the Gomez's. The Gransol's house across the street was converted into 'Father College', St Joseph's College. The Registrar for Births and Deaths were at the Nurses house on the corner of Victoria and Abercromby St. when I lived in St Joseph from 1950 to 1963.

When I was a child the Boardmans lived here. We lived to the right of this house and my cousins lived in the house behind. Just imagine three houses on one block.

Miss Herrera's last daughter. My sisters and I all went through Miss Herrera's class. Fond memories of Miss Rollocks, "I can see San Fernando through this hole". Because of her, my penmanship is neat. Ms Alleyne was my Common Entrance teacher. Great memories!

Sandy, if your reference to Fr. Devenish was meant to be a joke, it's pathetic. If meant to insinuate an allegation, you are way off-base. Sick, in fact.
