Time

Boy it seems as though time has stood still. I remember my aunt paying my neighbour kids to take me to the movies, and they would get vex because I was always scared, I thought tht the horses would come through and kick me. Good ole Westerns, so it was a ducking and screaming needless to say I got a dose of more that cigarette ashes on my head!

Re: Mangrove

It most certainly was Mangrove, I remember going with the older kids at night with flambeaus to set crabtraps. And that road seemed so big and dangerous. It was scary then to to cross the "highway". Just across from the back of the cemetary there used to be a "Carnival" saw my first bearded lady there, some of the "Carnies" stayed in my aunt's shed in the back of our house. My uncle, cousin, father and aunt is buried in that cemetary. I left St. James after my aunt's death. Those were the best years of my life.

There's my street Good ole #3, 3rd Ave Seccond house from the corner, that was me the little girl who terrorized the neighborhood, and knew where every mango tree was, caught my first crab in my back garden , and got into everyone's business, Yes it was good to be a kid back then!

RE:First Time

I remember when this Mosque was built I was 8rs old then. They invited the whole neighbourhood. Food galore I can still see the lights, and hear the music. I lived right across the street. Boy I never knew how homesick I was until I started to view these Pics.

RE: Way Back When

I broke my finger in this park when the See-Saw was a plank of wood balabced on a broken wall. The cows were in a pasture to the back of the park, got kicked by one of them due to a dare. I had a friend that lived in the house right across from the park The Armstrongs, (boy my kids would be impressed that I remembered a name for over 40ys ago but I can't remember theirs).I lived on 3rd Avenue. That was Oh! so long ago.
