“Pan On A Higher Note” with the National Steel Symphony Orchestra directed and conducted by Jessel Murray began their concert in NAPA’s Lord Kitchener Aldwyn Roberts Auditorium (that the pre-concert ads seemed to insist was “Orel Roberts”) last week Saturday with the folksy “Hoe Down” from Aaron Copland’s ballet “Rodeo” – an excellent choice to warm up the orchestra, that, courtesy the moving stage, was whisked into the background to accompany the Metamorphosis Dance Company’s interpretation of Ray Holman’s “Changing Times” with dancers first dressed in white, then in black going through their paces in modern dance.
