How is it the same when the Yoruba/ Ifa doh believe in Christianity and the Spiritual Baptist believe in Jesus/Christianity? Yes in order to preserve their religious traditions against Catholic repression the African slaves syncretized the orishas with Catholic saints but there is ah difference

unfortunately our level of spiritual ignorance(lack of knowledge)would not permit the spiritual baptist to see that it is one in the same. that's why knowing our history is so important. it is only then we can have an understanding of out spiritual past.

also if you look at pic 90 and 91 the title says.."Spiritual Baptist hold a Thanksgiving" and it's de same table....so ah guessing it's ah SB and Orisha ting......

I notice dat the SB and de orisha ppl tend to be de same set ah ppl so many things are becoming intertwined. However there are die hard SB who doh belive in any (oshun) or would give any offering to her cuz they doh believe in it. So to the poster I know exactly where you coming from wid de question
