SACO presents Blessed with the Sound of Music in pictures
On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August 2015, the St. Augustine Chamber Orchestra (SACO) and the Trinidad and Tobago Youth Philharmonic (TTYP) hosted their 11th annual three week music workshop concert titled “Blessed with the Sound of Music” at Queen’s Hall, St. Ann’s, Port of Spain at 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively.
The concert’s repertoire included works by J. S. Bach (1685-1750), W. A. Mozart (1756- 1791), “Kol Nidrei (Oh! Day of God) Adagio for Violoncello and Orchestra” by Max Bruch (1838- 1920), “Capriccio Italien Op. 45” by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky (1840- 1893), and excerpts from some of Broadway’s famous musicals “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Cats”, “West Side Story”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “My Fair Lady”, “The Sound of Music” and Disney’s “Frozen”.
