NACC 32nd Annual Emancipation Day Dinner
On Saturday 9th August, 2014 the National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) held their 32nd annual Emancipation Day Dinner at the Andre Kamperveen Hall, Centre of Excellence, in Macoya. The programme included performances by Pan Jammers Steel Orchestra, Indian dance by Vikaash School of Dance, Calypso performances by Aneka Collins and Sheldon Reid, African dance and drumology by Wasafoli Trinidad and Tobago. The highlight of the evening was the lecture by Dr. Verene Shepherd, Professor of Social History, titled “In Their Name: Caribbean Women, Slavery & Reparation.”
