With Anya snagging the Project Runway’s Twitter Fan Favourite title in the last hours of voting, the programme’s season finale was expected to be just as unpredictable and engaging to the very last minute. Trinbagonian viewers were both satisfied with Anya’s accomplishments throughout the season and with her being able to secure a place in the final four. However, the edge afforded by the possibility of winning undoubtedly teased and excited the minds of Trinbagonians, the Caribbean and indeed international fans and social media followers, and made for a suspensive end.
Meiling’s 2010 Fashion Presentation occurred on November 17, 2009 at the Hilton Trinidad Ballroom. The theme, “The Secret Life of Plants”, was inspired by the delicate nature of plants in their different stages in nature and this idea was employed in the creation of all pieces on display. Check out the album for the many manifestations of “The Secret Life of Plants” as well as some post-show scenes.
Macafouchette… More than a Fashion Story took place on November 08, 2009, at the Dretchi Compound in Wrightson Road, P.O.S. “Macafouchette”, a French-Creole term meaning food left over from previous meals usually combined to make one big meal, or according to director Richard Young, “a little of this, and a little of that” was exactly the scene that evening. Clothes of all descriptions worn by models of various heights and sizes created a colorful potpourri of fashion that could be appreciated by those with bold tastes or by those who prefer their clothing to be more subdued. See the album for the manifold fashion expressions that, like a hot pot of pelau, will make your mouth water.

Organised by a team that included Richard Young, Diane Hunte, Rosemary Stone, Alyson Brown, and personnel from the Fuse Agency, the show featured both veteran and upcoming designers showcasing their creations over the five night show. This year’s show took an environmental focus with the theme ‘The Green Revolution: Live Green’ and all the five nights had a related sub-theme.
