Klassic Ruso Calypso Tent Judging Night 2015
On Thursday 22nd January, 2015, the cry of “Kaiso Kaiso!” rang out in the auditorium of Issa’s Restaurant and Pub as the Klassic Ruso Calypso Tent opened its doors to thirty competitors in the calypso arena. As the artistes readied for the show, some of the patrons took the time to share their personal experiences and enjoyment in the tent over the years.

The Palo’s Crew Emancipation Concert: An Evening of Culture
On Saturday 2nd August, the Mango Rose, Port of Spain neighbourhood was a hub of activity for the hosting of the annual Emancipation Day Concert hosted by The Palo’s Crew. The event was billed “An Evening of Culture” and themed “To Educate is to Emancipate.” This concert seeks not only to entertain, but also serves as a platform for acknowledging and rewarding the efforts of individuals who have excelled from the community.
Bollywood Dance Company presents ‘Rhythm Divine’
On Saturday 12th December, 2009, the Bollywood Dance Company presented their grand fundraising concert entitled “Rhythm Divine”. This event was held at the Rex Car Ltd. Compound in Mulchan Trace, Penal. It was an evening of Indian dance and entertainment which included a magic performance and a skit about the life styles of the rich and the poor.
Lydian Singers & Lydian Steel – Handel’s Messiah
Lydian Singers & Lydian Steel’s “Handel’s Messiah” took place on December 10, 2009, at Queen’s Hall, P.O.S. Led by choir master Pat Bishop, audience members were titillated by the sounds of the Steelband orchestra, the several intermittent dance performances as well as by the wondrous blend of the voices of the Lydian singers.
Christmas with the Marionettes Chorale
Christmas with the Marionettes Chorale took place on December 03, 2009, at Queen’s Hall, P.O.S. The choir, headed by Gretta Taylor featured several Christmas favorites sang in operatic fashion. Featured were some of the Chorales star singers and musicians who all delighted the audience with their talents.

The National Theatre Arts Company was launched on November 14, 2009, at the National Academy of the Performing Arts, Queen’s Park East, Port of Spain with the theatrical performance ‘Dance Me, Lover’.
National Dance Association Festival ‘Toute Bagai’
Toute Bagai, part of The National Dance Festival presented by The National Dance Association took place on October 17,2009. Audience members witnessed a plethora of dances ranging from locally-flavored ballet dances to creolized African and Indian dances, similar to what can be seen at Best Village competitions.
