On March 30th, 2015, Trinidad and Tobago celebrated Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day.

Spiritual Shouter Baptists from all over the country as well as those from neighbouring Caribbean islands, the United States of America and Africa, came to join Archbishop Barbara Gray-Burke at Empowerment Hall, Maloney, to celebrate the occasion. Indeed, other members of the faith celebrated the holiday outside of what took place in Maloney. This day commemorates the repeal of the 1917 Shouters Prohibition Ordinance in 1951 which banned adherents of the faith from free worship or assembly. Attending the celebration in Maloney were Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, National Security Minister Carl Alfonso, Minister of Gender Youth and Child Development Clifton De Coteau, Minister of Multiculturalism Rodger Samuel and Labour Minister Errol McLeod.
