TUCO Boat Cruise – A Touch of White
The Trinbago Unified Calypso Organisation (TUCO) hosted its cooler boat cruise themed “A Touch of White” on board the Coral Vision on Sunday 31st October, 2015, as part of its Calypso History Month celebrations. Guests were asked to wear white and to “Bring your Love and Come.” Boarding began around 8 p.m. in the vicinity of the Breakfast Shed, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain.
On board the Coral Vision were calypsonians, their friends and family, as well as other supporters of the art-form. With sweet calypso and soca music blasting by the DJ’s, including the popular Sir Charles, patrons danced the night away, sometimes solo and at other times with partners gyrating their waists to rhythmic sounds.
All were also entertained by emcee for the evening Shirlane Hendrickson as well as performances by Joseph Adams, Kenson ‘Ninja’ Neptune and Austin ‘Superblue’ Lyons who also serenaded calypsonian Dee Diamond and his wife on their twenty-second year wedding anniversary. Patrons were also given the additional treat of a chance, by way of a lottery, to win hampers and other special prizes.
