N.A.C.C. Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition 2015

On the 2nd February, 2015, the Grand Stand in the Queen’s Park Savannah filled with kaiso enthusiasts who vied for the best seats from which to view the Young King’s Calypso Competition 2015. The show was dedicated to late culture activist and NJAC stalwart Brother Bankole and banners were hung on the stage blazed with the words “In Tribute to Brother Bankole.”

Klassic Ruso Calypso Tent Judging Night 2015

On Thursday 22nd January, 2015, the cry of “Kaiso Kaiso!” rang out in the auditorium of Issa’s Restaurant and Pub as the Klassic Ruso Calypso Tent opened its doors to thirty competitors in the calypso arena. As the artistes readied for the show, some of the patrons took the time to share their personal experiences and enjoyment in the tent over the years.

TUCO/WESCU Karaoke Competition 2014

The NU Pub, formerly the Mas Camp Pub, was alight with excitement on November 14th 2014, for the TUCO/WESCU first National Karaoke Competition. Icons Calypso Tent Judging Night

On Monday 26th January 2015, the Icons Tent lived up to its name as it opened its doors to judges at the Ambassador Hotel where musical protagonists vied against each other in the battle for kaiso excellence.
